Rutgers University professor and member of Rethinking Peace Studies' organizing committee Alexander Laban Hinton provided expert testimony this week at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, commonly referred to as the Khmer Rouge Trials. Dr. Hinton, an anthropologist, is a former President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars and a leading scholar on the Cambodian Genocide. His testimony focused on the nature of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge's genocidal ideology.
